Freshly made and absolutely delicious!!! The owner and service were delightful and the food was up quickly; I cannot emphasize the freshness of literally each and every ingredient enough, the tasty home made tortillas were a game changer and the fish tacos were outstanding. The salsa bar was a great addition. You gotta add this cute little place to your lunch stop, you'll be glad you did.
The tacos tasted fine, but $4 for a single carne asada taco that isn't even the size of your palm is a little ridiculous. Also had the supreme nachos, (15.95) there isn't much meat in them and the cheese is the store bought Tostito's you put in prison nachos. It's only enough food for one person.
My husband and I stopped in there while we were on a little vacation from Portland. The food is made completely fresh by Patty nothing canned or frozen. *Just a fair warning if you are vegan or vegetarian: the beans DO have lard in them. I learned this the hard way by not finding out till after, I didn’t think to even ask, I assumed they were plant based. I felt pretty panicked after, but not much I could do. it would be pretty difficult for a vegetarian or vegan to eat here. other than that, I did enjoy the fresh chips and the pico de gallo; she makes her tortillas and chips herself and cooks everything to order.
Came to visit Long Beach it was a 5 hour drive to get here and stopped by this little cute place locally owned. The customer service was amazing here and they have outdoor seating which is great since I had my dog with me. Definitely recommend this place
Patty is amazing! It’s a small family run operation, if she’s open, please stop by! The fish tacos are spot on… fresh halibut, shredded cabbage, red fresh tomatoes, and great salsa. The salsa bar is fresh and the picketed onion relish is perfect on the taco. Please stop in and say hello, grab a quick taco to go or dine in!
We were there on Saturday around noon, and they already ran out of the Halibut. However, their cod fish and chip and cod taco were also fresh and very good. We love their pickle onion and carrot as well. The restaurant shared the parking lot with the museum, but it is limited.
It's easy to tell why this place has such a high rating, from the home made tortillas to the hand battered locally caught halibut. The fish tacos come in an order of two (no individual fish tacos available), I belive it was about $20 for an order with a side of pico de gallo which was slightly spicy but complimented the fish perfectly and ate well with the provided toritilla chips. We also tried the "octodogs" which are hotdogs sliced to look like little octopus served on a bed of french fries, perfect for little kids and kids at heart. Overall a great experience with great food.
These tacos were so tasty that we went twice in one weekend! The halibut and shrimp tacos were our favorite, but I recommend adding a carne asada street taco to round out the order. And the escabeche bar alone justifies the visit.
